Please donate to help researchers uncover new discoveries and better treatments for asthma

-Breah lost her life to a severe asthma attack

Breah had asthma all her life. She was diagnosed when she was about four or five and passed away from an asthma flare up from a mixture of multiple asthma triggers when she was only seventeen.

Asthma is a complex disease. It is difficult to diagnose, and symptoms are common with many other illnesses.  There are a wide number of things that can trigger asthma including dust, pollen, cold air, bushfire smoke and so many more.   Flare ups can happen very quickly after exposure to triggers and can get worse very quickly too.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, significant advances have been made in the research of childhood asthma management which will ultimately reduce hospital visitations.

Asthma Australia is dedicated to supporting vital research into the causes and prevention of asthma. Funding provided to the research of Dr Nusrat Homaira and her associates is helping them to develop and ultimately implement a comprehensive model of care that will provide a personalised approach to asthma care and potentially lead to an 80% reduction in children with asthma needing to visit hospital.

Just imagine a world without asthma. But we can only achieve this with the generous support of kind donors like you. We need ongoing funding for essential research to continue.  To pioneer new medicines and provide necessary resources to manage people’s asthma.  And most importantly to one day find a cure.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
